Third year vocal student, Jack Bayley, age 11, won the judges’ choice award on Sunday, September 16th at the Richmond Fair’s Rise2Fame Talent Search for his fabulous performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”.

Seven U-Rock students participated in the annual talent competition, including last year’s 1st prize winner for vocals, Rowan Hendrick who tackled the iconic rock classic “More Than a Feeling” by Boston. Our U-Rock stars competed for more than 3 hours in 40C stifling heat along with dozens of other competitors ranging in age from 6-20 years old.

Some very memorable performances were also showcased at this event by the following amazing U-Rock students: Avery Stone, Ethan Peacock, Rachel Robinson, Ellie Sheppard and alumna Jasmine Beavis. We are very proud of all our competitive rock stars and think every one of them is deserving of five stars for their extracurricular efforts, over and above our school’s 6 annual performance events.
