If students are unable to attend their lessons for any reason - a schedule conflict, vacation or illness for example we now have two great options.

Please note:

Both options require a minimum 24hrs advance notice request by parents via our client portal. These are self serve options that now replace all makeup lessons.

• Option 1: ONLINE Zoom lessons during their regular lesson time, ideal for kids with temporary transportation issues, or if they aren’t feeling their best.
• Option 2: Asynchronous lessons ensure students don’t ever miss out on learning whenever they’re not available at lesson time.

What are asynchronous lessons?

This option provides a lesson assignment from your child’s teacher, upon request, which replaces an in person lesson.

Parents can request an asynchronous lesson anytime students are unable to attend their lesson. We simply require 24 hrs notice to set this up.

Here’s how it works:

The teacher will use the missed lesson time to prepare and send an assignment for the student to complete at any time that same week. Then, the student can submit a short video to their teacher showing what they worked on. Example: a short video of them practicing a song, a new drum beat, guitar riff or piano piece.

The student submits the assignment before their next regularly-scheduled lesson, and the teacher will review it with them at the next in-person lesson, providing feedback to help the student improve.

Everything is managed via the client portal so it’s very simple to use.
