We are excited to offer our talented rock stars regular performance opportunities at various locations every month from now on.
Given the amazing success of our singers & guitarists at many local competitions recently, we felt it was time to give everyone even MORE stage time. To accomplish this, in tandem with our own bi-annual school concerts, U-Rock Winter Concert: January 24, 2016 and Summer Concert: June 19, 2016, plus the many community events and fundraisers we participate in every year, we decided TWO new stages/venues were in order.
The first, @ Hurley’s Open Mic on Sundays (1261 Stittsville Main) from 2-5pm.
U-Rock School will be at this event to cheer on our rock & pop stars every month. Students must register in advance for each open mic show, we will have a registration form on our website for each event.
Performance dates for these events:
October 18th @2pm – Halloween Hit List Show
November 22nd @2pm – Rock Around the Block Show
December 20th @2pm – Christmas Snow Show
* The December 20th show will feature the first ever holiday performance by The Roxies!
Then, be prepared to rock out at our school’s annual winter rock show, on a brand new stage:
SAVE THE DATE: The U-Rock Winter Concert for all students and families will be held on Sunday, January 24/16 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Greenfield’s Pub & Eatery, at 900 Greenbank Rd. (@Barrhaven Mall). BIG stage, BIG show, BIG talent. Great food/drinks and LOTS of seating for fans & families. Tickets for this event will go on sale in the new year. All students are welcome to participate to show off their skills and of course the show features performances by our two school bands: The Crushers and The Roxies. An event not to be missed.
