B electric: Electronic Music Production for Kids
Ages 9-13
This 12-week program will teach your budding writer/composer how to create cool music tracks like the ones they know and love. Students will learn how to program a drum track, write a bass line that fits with the drums, structure a song and add synth tracks and vocals. Students will use FL Studio on their iPads and leave the course with a completed original song to show off to friends and family.
What students will learn:
- How to program drums, bass and synths
- What ‘samples’ and MIDI are and how to use them
- How to blend sounds together
- The basics of mixing tracks and recording them
- Basic music theory and song structure
Requirements:
-iPad (or similar tablet) with FL Studio
or
-Laptop with FL Studio 12 (a free trial version is available that is suitable)
