Congratulations to U-Rock Music School student, 12-year-old Abigail Moffitt, for being chosen from among hundreds of video entries in an international vocal competition as, “A featured artist to watch.”
Abigail is in her second year of vocal lessons at Stittsville’s U-Rock Music School and is also a member of the school’s band, recently renamed The Crushers, featuring six students from the music school.
U-Rock Music School’s owner and vocal teacher Cathy Hallessey shared this comment: “We can hardly wait to see Abby’s video performance online in theĀ September 3rdĀ edition of the UK magazine. She will be getting amazing exposure as a young artist and public critiques from some highly respected vocal coaches in England, not to mention she could actually win this competition!”
The international vocal competition is open to singers of all ages but few who entered were as young as Abigail.
Karolina Moo, age 12, also a U-Rock Music School student, submitted a video entry too and received extremely positive feedback from Voice Council Editor Gregory Barker, PhD who encouraged her to keep submitting her videos in the future, as she shows great promise.
