WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT
We believe music lessons teach much more than how to play or sing. They inspire, spark the imagination and build confidence and discipline.
Music lessons at U-Rock, in the Fairwinds community, bordering Stittsville and Kanata, teach young people to take risks, conquer fear, and develop their potential.
Our big focus is performance opportunities for local kids and teens.
TAILORED LESSONS
Our students receive music lessons tailored to their needs. We set them up to succeed in their chosen instruments and in life. We build relationships with students and families beyond their music lessons. We seek out performance opportunities for all of our rock stars, promoting them and coaching them for auditions, school plays and more. Whether your child or teen is interested in private music lessons or group lessons we have it all right here, under one roof.
A FAMILY BUSINESS
The biggest difference at U-Rock is the owners are the teachers – this makes us very unique compared to other music schools.
For almost 30 years we’ve been taking great pride in making sure your rock stars are happy with their lessons and get the very best music education while also having fun.
We provide pop/rock vocal lessons, guitar lessons, bass lessons, drum lessons, keyboard/piano and ukulele lessons.
Plus we coach several youth and teen bands. We work from our home-based studio on the border of Kanata and Stittsville.
WE CREATE FUN
We’ve taught and mentored thousands of young rock stars in Kanata, Stittsville and the surrounding areas, Carp, Dunrobin, Barrhaven, Almonte and Carleton Place since our school first opened in 1997.
Our five-star rating from students and families makes us the best choice for music education combined with fun.
Many of our students stay with us for five years or more. We frequently teach multiple sibling families. We offer affordable pricing and various payment plans, including additional discounts for families with 3+ children.

We are very proud to be the Top Choice Music School in Ottawa. We’ve placed 1st for five consecutive years from 2021-2025, and among the top three best since 2018.
